Testicular torsion can occur during foetal life or in the newborn, it is not a very frequent pathology. Objective:Given the low frequency of testicular torsion in-utero and the few published cases, we consider it important to demonstrate our clinical experience. Clinical case: A 41 week term infant, appropriate for gestional age, who had a left testis of stony consistency and right hydrocoele on physical examination. Colour doppler ultrasound suggested the diagnosis of testicular torsion in-utero. An orquidectomia with fixation of the contralateral testis was performed, and the sample sent for histology. Post-operative recovery was without incident. It is very infrequent to save the affected testicle, appropriate diagnosis and treatment permits the viability of the contralateral testicle to be maintained
