Birth weight tables of the Paraguayan population for a five year period (1991-1995) obtained from public hospitals where CLAPs database are available and registered by the Biostatistical Office, Public Health Ministry are reported. Values of percentile 5, 10, 25, 50, 75 and 90 of pregnancies ended between 27 and 44 weeks gestation are included. Three tables are presented the first one including all newborns in this period of time. The others including males and females respectively. Newborn males weight was higher than the females (3,5% or more). The importance of the availability of local or regional tables is stressed
