The objective of this paper was to establish the predictive incidence of familial and personality factors in the consumption of drugs and alcohol in adolescents. A representative sample of 467 adolescents from the Metropolitan Region of Santiago, Chile, were interviewed using the Chilean version of the Minessota Health Survey (ECRA-2), FACES III (family cohesion and adpatability) and DOI-JA (dimensions of personality).
