N,N’-bis-3,5-ditertbutylsalicylamides were obtained from N-3,5-di-tert-butylsalicyloyl-oxysuccinimide and different diamines. Yields ranged between 30 and 50% and the reaction takes place at room temperature. The products are easily purified by crystallization rendering the procedure useful despite of the modest yields.
