NEIRA, J.Y.; BRUHN, C.G.; STEGER, E.M.  and  REYES, N.R.. NEBULIZACION HIDRAULICA DE ALTA PRESION COMO MEDIO DE TRANSPORTE E NTRODUCCION DE MUESTRA EN LA DETERMINACION DIRECTA DE TRAZAS DE COBRE, HIERRO Y MANGANESO. APLICACION EN LICORES DE BLANQUEO DE CELULOSA. Bol. Soc. Chil. Quím. [online]. 1999, vol.44, n.4, pp. 427-434. ISSN 0366-1644.  doi: 10.4067/S0366-16441999000400005.

The determination of Cu, Fe and Mn at µg/mL levels in liquors for celulose bleaching was studied using hydraulic high pressure nebulization (HHPN) as a mean of transport and sample introduction in flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry (FAAS). A low pressure flow system was used to fill the sample "loop" (100 µL) in combintion with a high pressure system for the transport and introduction of this same sample in FAAS. The repeatability and detection limits of Cu, Fe and Mn were determined and compared with those obtained by pneumatic nebulization (PN). The results show that the detection limits obtained by HHPN for Cu, Fe and Mn are between 2 to 3 times better than those obtained by PN.

Keywords : Hydraulic high pressure nebulization; liquors; celulose; manganese; iron copper.
