Founded in the year 1986, the Revista Ingeniería de Construcción (RIC) is a journal published three times a year that belongs to the Department of Construction Engineering and Management of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Its main purpose is to promote the progress and development of construction engineering and management, providing at the same time, an international forum for discussion and dissemination of new knowledge and research results. The journal appeals mainly to the Ibero-American community. RIC is a journal oriented to both, academic and professional groups.

Submitting a paper to Revista Ingeniería de Construcción implies that it represents an original work, not published previously and not considered for publication elsewhere. The authors must transfer the author’s rights of their papers to the Editorial providing the article is accepted for publication, using a form provided by the Editorial. The copyrights cover the exclusive rights for the reproduction and distribution of the paper, including reprints, photographic reproductions, microfilms, scanning of documents or any other methods of reproduction of similar nature as well as the translations. Permission to use figures from other source must be obtained by the author prior to submitting the paper.
