Scope and policy

The purpose of Psicoperspectivas, the bi-annual publication of the School of Psychology at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, is to provide a landscape for the exchange and discussion of ideas within the context of contending visions of Psychology and Social Sciences.

Papers published in Psicoperspectivas must be original and unpublished contributions, and must correspond to scientific research, intervention reports, or theoretical and/or methodological debates concerning relevant and current themes in the field of Psychology and Social Sciences, written either in Spanish or English.

From the year 2008 Psicoperspectivas is edited exclusively online, following an open access policy.

All manuscripts are reviewed by two blind peer reviewers. During this process, the names of authors and reviewers are kept secret. The Editorial Team decides upon the acceptance, review-and-resubmition, or rejection of the manuscripts, based on the reviewers’ suggestions. Once a manuscript is accepted for publication, the author(s) must sign a copyright form licensed by Creative Commons Unported 3.0.
