IDENTITY AND PURPOSES OF THE JOURNAL
Literatura y Lingüística (L y L from now
on) is an semiannual (since 2010) academia publication published by the Spanish Teaching
Programme of Universidad Católica Silva Henríquez with venue
in the city of Santiago, Chile.
Its main purpose is to illustrate the results of the research work and
teaching support prepared by the faculty staff of this professional training
centre. In the development of this work, L y L seeks to promote the expansion
and scattering of ideas that converged with the UCSH choice of values
identified with the proposal of a pluralist dialogue between Faith and
Culture.
From this perspective, L y L also opens its pages to literary works written
down by other researchrs linked to its same disciplinary field, in search
for the establishment of a productive intellectual creation, dialogue
and meeting point. Its major interest I contribution to the development
of language and Humanities, from diverse perspectives that form their
thematic universe. Such texts may have a wide range of genre types, namely,
articles, research reports, reviews. For the last two cases, explicit
authorization of the lecturer or interviewee is a must.
L y L also considers the publishing or re-editions and translation of
works and debates about specific topics from the sciences aforementioned
whose distribution is considered of major interest. The works to be published
will always represent their own author's points of view except explicit
mention otherwise, without concerning the journal, its Publishing Board
or the University’s perspective.
