Peer review policy of Latin American Journal of Economics

The peer review process of Latin American Journal of Economics is designed to ensure that high quality scientific material is published. Articles must be original and unpublished. This journal employs double blind review, where both the authors and the referees remains anonymous throughout the process. Referees are selected according to their expertise on the topic of each article.

Referees evaluate the articles in terms of originality, methodology and relevance of their conclusions. A final decision to accept or reject the manuscript will be sent to the corresponding author along with any recommendations made by the referees. Referees advise the editor, who is responsible for the final decision to accept or reject the article.
