| Ciencia e Investigación Agraria publishes original none published research articles and review of the literature every four months, in silviagropecuarian areas and environmental sciences, both in Spanish and in English. Ciencia e Investigación Agraria receives original and unpublished collaborations of authors from other universities, institutes or research institutions. Ciencia e Investigación Agraria does not offer reprints of the published articles. Printed version is published on the last week of April, August and December each year. From volume 32 (2005) onwards, is published electronically, in both Spanish and English (www.rcia.puc.cl). Therefore, all manuscripts will be translated by the editorial office free of charge. Nevertheless, authors must supply Tables and Figures in English when the original manuscript is submitted. |
Form and preparation of manuscripts
| Research articles should have a maximun extension of 20 pages (40 pages for Review articles), letter size, written at double space in Arial 11 or Times New Roman 12. The pages and lines must be numbered and Tables and Figures must be included separately at the end of the manuscripts. The manuscript must be prepared according to the style of the magazine, so we suggest you to check the latest issues of Ciencia e Investigación Agraria. Do not insert Tables and Figures in the text. Consider that Ciencia e Investigación Agraria follows the Standards proposed by the American Society of Agronomy (ASA) which can be checked in www.asa-cssa-ssa.org/publications/style. At the same time, use the words accepted in the Spanish Language Dictionary of the Royal Spanish Academy (www.rae.es) and in English follow the Merriam Webster Dictionary (www.m-w.com). All the articles received will be checked by a peer review
committee with at least two technical referees, appointed by the Editorial
Committee. According to the editors’ opinion, Ciencia e Investigación
Agraria reserves the right to publish or reject an article. Research articles Research articles are original documents that communicate
novel research results. These should allow the scientific community to
critically evaluate the methodology, and the significance, originality
and reproducibility of the results obtained. The objectives should be
clearly stated in the last paragraph of the Introduction, and experimental
design and statistical analysis should be fully explained in Material
