| The Boletín del Museo Chileno de Arte Precolombino is a biannual periodical, founded in March 1985. Currently, it is the only specialized publication of its kind in Latin America. The magazine is primarily aimed at specialists, professionals, and students of aboriginal American art and symbolism. It accepts research articles, essays and reports in areas such as architecture, cognition, cosmology, ecology, economy, ethnicity, ideology, musicology, technology, visual arts and other related subjects with content and/or graphic material having a clear and justifiable link with the publication’s central theme. Articles combining two or more of these topic areas are especially welcome. Articles can be submitted at any time and will be published –in English or in Spanish– in order of acceptance, with the reception and approval dates presented on their first page. Submissions are evaluated by at least three external publishing consultants, whose anonymity is essential to assuring the originality, quality, and suitability of the manuscripts. The articles, as well as their accompanying references and figures, are the exclusive responsibility of their authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the magazine. The accepted abbreviation of the publication’s
title is Bol. Mus. Chil. Arte Precolomb. for
use in all bibliographies, footnotes, legends, and bibliographic references. |
